About Redefining Movement
Putting the Fun in Functional Fitness
Redefining Movement (formerly Young at Heart Home Fitness) launched in 2026 to help adults and seniors move better and live better, improving their balance, mobility, and functional fitness. Our Functional Movement Specialists help our clients increase coordination and balance while improving the performance of daily tasks and activities through a personalized plan. Additionally, they provide support and accountability to help clients get moving and stay active, all in the comfort and privacy of their home.
Our goal is to help adults and seniors remain freely moving and independent as long as possible, feeling comfortable in their bodies as they age. Our experienced Functional Movement Specialists are CPR certified and have extensive backgrounds working with the adult and senior population. Therapists, nurses, and doctors confidently refer their patients, knowing our Movement Specialists have the medical knowledge and professional experience to provide a safe and effective functional mobility program. We believe it is never too late to start focusing on your fitness or reach your movement potential. Redefining Movement serves clients in McKinney, Frisco, Plano, Richardson, and beyond.
Our Beginnings:
From Young at Heart to Redefining Movement
Our journey began in 2020 as Young at Heart Home Fitness, founded by physical therapist Kathy Dann. Throughout her career, Kathy recognized a need to bridge the gap between healthcare and fitness; helping adults and seniors get moving, stay active, and enjoy life. Her goal was to help patients transitioning from medical care management to keep moving and prevent regression. She invited her lifelong friend, Gina Sullivan, to come alongside her, and together they built a team to assist clients facing challenges with daily activities or seeking to improve their overall fitness. After five years of impactful service and numerous success stories, Kathy prepared for retirement. As Gina envisioned how to carry on the mission, she began to question, “What if we could focus on earlier intervention, helping clients prevent medical issues before they arise? It became clear that people were looking for more than just exercise, but education on how to move freely, maintain independence, and improve longevity. With Kathy and the team’s full support, Redefining Movement was born.
We are proud to welcome you to Redefining Movement, where we are dedicated to helping you move better, live fully, and embrace a vibrant, active future.
